The C22B visa is a single-entry internship / company-internship visa for foreigners who wish to do an internship or skills-development placement at a company or workplace in Indonesia. It’s not a work/employment visa, it’s meant for training, learning, or skill development, not paid employment.
C22B is appropriate if you:
✔ Want to do an unpaid internship or skills-development placement at an Indonesian company or institution.
✔ Need more time than a short-stay visa allows (months rather than weeks) to complete internship/training.
✔ Are not seeking paid employment or salary, but only experience/training.
✔ Want legal residency status while interning, without converting to a work permit.
With this visa you can
a. Carry out activities related to internship to develop skill and talent at the company, office, or workplace.
b. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
Prohibited Activities
a. You cannot receive salary, wages, or any remuneration from the company or any Indonesian entity.
b. You cannot engage in full-time employment, sell goods or services, or perform income-generating activities.
Length of Stay
Standard stay: up to 180 days from the date of entry.
Extension: You may extend once for another 180 days , which means a maximum total stay of up to 360 days (180 + 180) depending on the immigration office
