EPO (Exit Permit Only) is an official permit issued by Immigration that allows a foreigner to leave Indonesia legally after their KITAS/KITAP is cancelled.
Once EPO is issued:
✔ Your existing stay permit (KITAS/KITAP) becomes invalid
✔ You must leave Indonesia within the allowed exit timeframe
❌ You cannot stay, extend, or change status after EPO
❌ You cannot re-enter using EPO — you need a new visa to come back
When do you need an EPO ?
1. You are finishing or canceling a KITAS/KITAP
2. You switch from one sponsor to another
3. You do not plan to extend your KITAS and want to leave permanently
What happens after EPO issued ? Once EPO is issued:
✔ Your KITAS/KITAP is considered terminated
✔ You must exit Indonesia within the given exit window (usually 7 days)
✔ You cannot change visa type inside Indonesia anymore
✔ You must apply for a new visa from outside Indonesia if you want to return
