Retirement KITAS Extension

A “Retirement KITAS” (or pensioner visa) is a residence permit for foreigners who are not working, but want to live in Indonesia during retirement (or as non-working long-stay). It’s a type of “non-working stay permit.

Requirements

Document Requirements
1. Copy of passport (must still be valid long enough. usually min. 18 months for 1year extension)
2. Current KITAS & Stay permit
3. Residential address letter (domisili)
4. Passport-sized digital photo
5. Temporary Residence Certificate (SKTT)
6. Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $2000 or equivalent the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
7. Proof of pension fund minimum of USD 3,000 per month or USD 36,000/year

Important:
1. It’s strongly recommended to start the extension process at least 1 to 3 months before your KITAS expires, ideally about 4–6 weeks in advance.
2. The applicant must be physically present in Indonesia during the extension process.
