The D2 visa is a multiple-entry business visa, meant for foreigners who need to make frequent business-related visits to Indonesia (meetings, company visits, business negotiations, investment visits, etc.)
D2 is a good choice if you:
✔ Are a foreign business person, consultant, investor, or entrepreneur who needs to visit Indonesia repeatedly for meetings,inspections, partnerships, business negotiations, etc.
✔ Want flexibility to travel frequently to Indonesia without applying for a new visa every time.
✔ Do not plan to work or be employed / paid in Indonesia but need to legally visit for business reasons.
✔ Need some months to travel, check business opportunities, sign deals, but not settle as a worker.
With this visa you can
a. Carry out activities related to business, meetings, or shopping including but not limited to checking goods at the office, factory, or production site of goods.
b. Discuss, negotiate, and/or sign business contracts.
c. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
d. Multiple visits over time enter and exit Indonesia as often as you like while visa is valid
Prohibited Activities
a. You cannot work, be employed, or receive salary/compensation under D1 visa.
b. You cannot engage in business operations, paid services, or sell goods.
c. Overstaying beyond your permitted stay (per entry/extension) may result in fines, deportation, or visa cancellation.
Validity & Length of Stay Per Entry
a. Visa validity options: 1 year and 2 years (depending on which D2 visa you obtain).
b. Every time you enter Indonesia on D2, you are allowed to stay up to 60 days per entry.
c. For certain entries you may be able to extend the 60-day stay (often up to two times per visit), giving a maximum stay of up to 180 days per visit before you must exit the country.
Because it’s multiple-entry, you can leave and re-enter Indonesia many times during the visa validity period. each new entry grants another 60-day stay.
