The C16 Visa is a pre-investment / business-preparation visa — for foreigners who want to explore potential investment or business opportunities in Indonesia.C12-Pre Investment Visa is a single-entry visa, which means it becomes invalid once you leave Indonesia.
C12 is best suited when you:
✔ Are a foreign investor, entrepreneur, or business person exploring business opportunities in Indonesia.
✔ Want time (several months) to do market research, site visits, feasibility studies, or plan a business before formally investing or applying for longer-term permit.
✔ Need a longer stay than tourism visa but do not yet have a business to run or employment.
With this visa you can
a. Conducting activities related to start a business, including field surveys and/or feasibility studies.
b. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
Prohibited Activities
a. Not allowed to Paid work, employment, or earning any income in Indonesia.
b. Not allowed to Running a business, selling goods or services, or legally operating as a worker.
c. Stay in Indonesia after your visa expires.
Length of Stay
a. Upon arrival, C12 allows a stay of up to 180 days (about 6 months).
b. C12 can be extended once, giving a potential maximum stay of up to 360 days in
total (180 days + 180-day extension) depending on the immigration office.
