D12 is a multiple-entry visitor visa designed for foreigners who want to explore business or investment opportunities in Indonesia. doing market research, site visits, feasibility studies, or other Pre-Investment activities.It is meant for “pre-business” activities not for actual employment or formal work.
D12 is a good choice if:

With this visa you can
a. Conducting activities related to start a business, including but not limited to field surveys and/or feasibility studies.
b. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
Prohibited Activities
a. You cannot work, be employed, or receive salary/compensation under D12-Pre Investment visa.
b. You cannot engage in business operations, paid services, or sell goods.
c. Overstaying beyond your permitted stay (per entry/extension) may result in fines,
deportation, or visa cancellation
Validity & Length of Stay Per Entry
a. Visa validity: you can get D12 for 1 year or 2 years.
b. Stay per visit: each time you enter Indonesia with D12, you are allowed up to 180 days stay.
c. Extension: D12 stay can be extended once. giving another 180 days if needed.
d. Multiple-entry: You may exit and re-enter Indonesia repeatedly during the visa validity period.
