The D1 visa is a multiple-entry tourist/visit visa for foreigners who want to travel to or stay in Indonesia multiple times over a longer period, without repeatedly applying for a new visa.It’s designed for tourism, visiting friends or family, vacations, or shortterm stays (tourist purposes).
D1 visa is ideal if you:
✔ Travel to Indonesia frequently (for holidays, visiting family/friends, exploring different islands) over a period of 1–2 years.
✔ Want flexibility to enter and leave Indonesia many times without reapplying visa each time.
✔ Prefer longer stay per entry than typical short-stay visas, and don’t plan to work or earn income.
✔ Want to combine several visits in one visa validity (e.g. stay some months, leave, come back later).
With this visa you can
a. Attend as a participant at meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions.
b. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
c. Multiple visits over time enter and exit Indonesia as often as you like while visa is valid
Prohibited Activities
a. You cannot work, be employed, or receive salary/compensation under D1 visa.
b. You cannot engage in business operations, paid services, or sell goods.
c. Overstaying beyond your permitted stay (per entry/extension) may result in fines, deportation, or visa cancellation.
Validity & Length of Stay Per Entry
a. Visa validity options: 1 year and 2 years (depending on which D1 visa you obtain).
b. Every time you enter Indonesia on D1, you are allowed to stay up to 60 days per entry.
c. For certain entries you may be able to extend the 60-day stay (often up to two times per visit), giving a maximum stay of up to 180 days per visit d. before you must exit the country.
e. Because it’s multiple-entry, you can leave and re-enter Indonesia many times during the visa validity period. each new entry grants another 60-day stay.
