A Birth Report (Laporan Kelahiran) is the mandatory notification to Immigration that a foreign child has been born in Indonesia.
This report must be made so that:
✔ The baby is legally registered in the immigration system
✔ The baby can receive the correct visa or stay permit
✔ The parents avoid overstay penalties for the newborn
Every newborn foreign baby must have a valid immigration status within 60 days of birth. Reporting the birth formally gives the baby a legal immigration record in Indonesia.
