An Indonesian driver’s license (SIM) is the official driving licence issued by Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (POLRI). It is mandatory for anyone driving a motorised vehicle (car, motorcycle, trucks, etc.) on Indonesia’s public roads. The SIM is valid for 5 years, after which it must be renewed.
